2019 NFL free agency: Possible fits for the Packers
If the Packers don’t trust Oren Burks to man an inside spot and/or don’t bring back Jake Ryan, Hicks would be a nice complement to Blake Martinez. A three-down linebacker, Hicks has shown a penchant for big plays, but also has had trouble staying healthy, having played all 16 games just once in his four seasons. He has seven career interceptions, five of those in 2016, and 19 passes defensed. He had no big plays in 2018, but, despite playing just 11 games, set career highs in tackles (91), QB hits (6) and sacks (3).
