‘Nothing Unusual About Meeting With My Brother’, Oshiomole Says About Obaseki

National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Adams Oshiomhole says there is no rift between himself and his successor Governor Godwin Obaseki and there is nothing unusual about them holding a meeting.

Oshiomhole who described Obaseki as his brother said the alleged rift between them is the creation of people with personal interest.

He disclosed this on Monday night while receiving Governor Obaseki, who led members of his cabinet to celebrate the Eid-el-Kabir Festival, at Oshiomole’s residence in Estako West Local Government Area of the state.

After a closed-door meeting which lasted for about an hour, Oshiomhole said the meeting was not unusual and they are constant communication.

“What is unusual that my brother and I have met. Many people here are not new faces.

“I think you media people, you like to invent things. You create factions in your own image,” Oshiomole said.

Obaseki also told journalists that the visit to his predecessor was not unusual.

He said that he decided to celebrate Sallah with his former boss. According to him, the visit was to celebrate Edo leaders.

Obaseki “You heard from him, there is nothing unusual about this meeting. Today is Sallah. We just finished celebrating the former national chairman in Benin.

“We decided to come here and also visit with him. So there is nothing unusual.”
