Job Description

The job holder will be majorly responsible for developing debt recovery strategies to recover the company’s overdue balances. He/She will further join hands in brand awareness creation.

Job Summary

The job role is responsible for developing debt recovery strategies to recover outstanding/overdue debts from clients and negotiate payments plans.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop debt recovery strtegies
Collect outstanding debts from clients and achieve collection target to ensure positive cash flow.
Maintain debt database to ensure that the debt status is accurate and current.
Follow up on promissory notes and escalate issues with debt collection.
Review collection queue to perform collection activities accordingly.
Close a specific number of collection accounts each month to meet assigned target.
Contact debtors and implement repayment schedules and terms.
Assist the company to take legal action against debtors by providing necessary information.
Maintain security and confidentiality of company and clients’ information.
Follow legal requirements during debt collections to avoid legal issues.
Attend educational programs for professional growth and skill development.
Generate debt recovery analysis and report weekly
Carry out any other assignment given

Requirements

B.Sc/HND in any Social Science course
2-4years work experience in related field
Experience in debt collection and ability to meet deadlines.
Sound verbal communication skills including the ability to negotiate respectfully and communicate rational for decisions made.
Demonstrated ability to follow policy and procedures.
Sound numeracy skills and attention to detail.
Sound judgement, analytical and decision making skills.
Demonstrated commitment to service excellence.
