Police capture suspect in North Carolina murder case
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) — Police in North Carolina say a suspect has been arrested in the death of the man who was convicted in the 2002 death of NBA star Chris Paul’s grandfather.
The Winston-Salem Journal reports 31-year-old Joseph Anthony Hannah was taken into custody by High Point police on Tuesday after a foot chase.
Hannah is accused in the stabbing death of 31-year-old Dorrell Queshane Brayboy, who served 12½ years in prison after he was convicted of second-degree murder in the death of Nathaniel Jones.
Investigators say Brayboy was found on Aug. 28 with stab wounds in his chest in a Winston-Salem grocery store parking lot.
Hannah was being held in the Forsyth County jail. It wasn’t immediately known if he had a lawyer who could comment for him.
