The Gophers got goals from five different players as Sammy Walker, Blake McLaughlin, Tyler Nanne, Rem Pitlick and Brent Gates Jr. each lit the lamp in the win.
After Arizona State jumped out to an early 1-0 lead 3:53 into the first period, Walker evened the score at 15:47.
Minnesota took the lead in the second off McLaughlin’s tally with 5:56 remaining and went on to score three more goals in the final period to earn the series opening win.
