We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Abuja

Job Purpose

  • The role involves planning, organizing, leading, and controlling AfriLabs projects and project activities as assigned. The Project Manager will report directly to the Director of Programmes,
  • The individual will also be responsible for supporting the AfriLabs team in developing and implementing other activities of the AfriLabs Secretariat including Fundraising, Partnerships and Programs.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Project Manager will perform a wide range of duties including but not limited to the following:

  • Manage, coordinate or support assigned AfriLabs projects.
  • Lead or support proposals/bid activities.
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities.
  • Report on ongoing projects.
  • Support AfriLabs strategic planning and reviews.
  • Brand representation.
  • Identify and contact new project partners for project expansion.
  • Recommend and design projects that fit into AfriLabs objectives.
  • Project planning, budgeting, execution and reviews.

Qualifications, Skills, Working Conditions

  • A relevant university degree. Project Management Certification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years verifiable project management experience.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Excellent grasp of writing tools like Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.). Google Docs, Adobe PDF etc.
  • Excellent slides design and presentation skills.
  • Intermediate graphics design and editing skills.
  • Excellent research and data sourcing/handling skills.
  • Practical design thinking skills for arriving at effective project concepts.
  • Experience leading international project bids in the entrepreneurship, innovation, and/or technology sector.
  • Experience working with entrepreneurs and enterprise support organizations.
  • Experience managing partnerships with international organizations.
  • Experience managing project teams.
  • Familiarity with the latest trends in entrepreneurship, technology and innovation.
  • High sense of organization and self-discipline.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
