We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Operations Assistant
Location: Lagos
Job Description
- The Operations Assistant is required for the key function of serving customers by completing account transactions.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming customers into the banking hall.
- Opening of customer accounts and regular customer engagement.
- Answering phone calls from customers and vendors.
- Attending to customer complaints and inquiries both in person and over the phone.
- Procuring vendors and negotiating prices.
- Collating information as directed.
- Providing account services to customers by receiving deposits, loan repayments and issuing withdrawals.
- Cross-sells bank products by responding to inquiries, ascertaining customers’ needs, informing customers of new services and product promotions.
- Accurately posting transactions.
- Daily balancing and reconciling.
- Counting cash, turning in excess cash and ensuring currency legitimacy.
- Reporting shortages.
- Complying with bank operations and security procedures by participating in all dual-control functions.
- Maintaining customer confidence and protecting bank operations by keeping information confidential.
- Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Requirements
- BSc in a reputable university
- Banking experience would be an added advantage
- Customer service skill, presentable, organized, detail-oriented and can work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
