Job Title: Procurement Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Description

We are looking for procurement officers who will be part of our purchasing department. Candidates should be able to provide guidance on sourcing as well as procurement processes for the company.

Responsibilities

Developing cost-effective procurement strategies that are inventive.
Sourcing for as well as engaging reliable vendors and suppliers.
Negotiating with vendors and suppliers in order to secure advantageous terms.
Reviewing existing contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure on-going feasibility.
Building as well as maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Preparing and see to approving purchase orders.
Organizing and confirming delivery of good.
See to take risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
Overseeing IT systems that track delivery, inventory as well as the supply of goods.
See to preparing reports on procurement.

Requirements

First degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
Good knowledge and experience in managing supply chain operations.
Great knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, negotiation terms as well as invoicing.
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).
Leadership and Management skills.
Time management as well as multi-tasking skills.
Have the ability to prioritize tasks.
Detailed-oriented and highly organized.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
