Don’t Use My Name To Canvass For Support In 2023 – Buhari
President Muhammadu Buhari has asked those who want to contest in the 2023 general elections to work hard and not use his name to canvass for support.
The President said this on Tuesday while meeting with some of his aides and staff at the State House to commemorate his 77th birthday.
He also assured Nigerians that he will ensure that the 2023 elections are free, fair and credible.
“What I want to promise Nigerians that I will work very hard on, is free and fair elections.
“All those that are going to succeed the National Assembly and Presidency, have to work very hard because I will make sure, using the law enforcement agencies that elections are free and fair and nobody uses his office or resources to force himself on his constituencies,” he said.
Meanwhile, the president was presented with several cakes and a card.
