Providence opens Big East play in style, blows out shorthanded Georgetown
Georgetown, playing without star guard Mac McClung fell behind 33 to Providence, which proved to be too big a hole to dig out of. The Friars held off a second-half Hoya rally and improved to 1-0 in Big East play with a 76-60 victory.
