Job Title: Software Engineer

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality applications. They will also be responsible for designing and implementing testable and scalable code.

Responsibilities

Develop quality software and web applications
Analyze and maintain existing software applications
Design highly scalable, testable code
Discover and fix programming bugs
Testing and evaluating new programs
Developing quality assurance procedures
Deploying software tools, processes and metrics
Maintaining and upgrading existing systems
Training users
Working closely with other developers, UX designers, business and systems analysts

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
Development experience with programming languages
SQL database or relational database skills
Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field.
5+ experience in Full stack development.
Fluency or understanding of either as GoLang, Java or PHP, and linux operating systems is required.
Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools.
Focus on efficiency and process improvement.
Agile/Scrum certifications will be a plus
Strong problem solving and verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently or with a group.
Willingness to sit at desk for extended periods.
Knowledge of DevOps and GCP will be an added advantage
Experience in developing Big Data solutions will be a plus.
