Royals select Singer to start in Cleveland, option Viloria
To no one’s surprise, the Kansas City Royals selected right-hander Brady Singer to their 30-man roster Saturday.
It was no surprise because Singer already had been named the starting pitcher for Saturday afternoon’s game against Cleveland. To make room on the roster, catcher Meibrys Viloria was optioned.
Singer, the Royals’ first-round pick in the 2018 draft, will make his major league debut against the Indians.
