Cards-Tigers series is postponed amid additional positive COVID-19 tests
The St. Louis Cardinals won’t be going to Detroit after all.
The four-game series between the Cardinals and Tigers scheduled for Tuesday through Thursday has been postponed in the wake of getting more positive results from COVID-19 tests.
Thirteen members of the Cardinals organization — seven players and six staff members — have tested positive in the last week. The team remains in quarantine in Milwaukee, where they have been since the first positive tests were reported Friday, wiping out the weekend series with the Brewers. Daily testing will continue through the week.
A weekend series with the Cubs on Aug. 7-9 remains on the schedule.
