Royals reportedly trade closer Rosenthal to Padres
The Royals reportedly dealt closer Trevor Rosenthal to the Padres on Saturday.
The Royals reportedly received two prospects in the deal.
Rosenthal recorded seven saves over 13.2 innings, compiling a 3.29 ERA with Kansas City this season.
Teams have until 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31 to trade before the deadline passes this season.
The San Diego Padres are in agreement on a deal to acquire reliever Trevor Rosenthal from Kansas City, sources tell ESPN. Arguably the best reliever on the market is headed to the Padres, whose beleaguered bullpen will get a huge boost from a revitalized Rosenthal.
