Cardinals place Gant on IL, recall Crismatt from alternate site
The St. Louis Cardinals have placed John Gant on the 10-day Injured List with right groin tightness following Game 1 of the doubleheader against the Brewers.
Gant left his relief appearance in the sixth inning after facing just one Brewer. Gant posted a 2.40 ERA over 15 innings out of the Cardinals’ bullpen in 2020.
In a corresponding move, reliever Nabil Crismatt was recalled from the alternate site. Crismatt has a 3.24 ERA over 8.1 innings.
