Blues re-sign Nolan Stevens to one-year, two-way deal
ST. LOUIS — The Blues made a move Sunday to retain some of their forward depth heading into next season.
The team announced that it has re-signed forward Nolan Stevens to a one-year, two-way contract worth $700,000 in the NHL and $80,000 in the AHL. Stevens, drafted out of Northeastern University in the fifth round of the 2016 draft, has spent the last two seasons in the AHL with the San Antonio Rampage. After tallying nine goals and nine assists over 59 games in his first professional season, the 24-year-old took a step forward as a passer in 2019-20, collecting nine goals with 22 assists in 50 games.
Whenever the next season gets underway, the 6-foot-3, 183-pound Stevens appears destined to start the campaign with the Springfield Thunderbirds, the Blues’ new AHL affiliate.
