Job Description

To ensure the processing of all financial transactions generated by all departments in the organisation
To ensure that proper books of accounts are kept and adequate records of financial transaction maintained in a central database and such accounts and transactions are in compliance with the organisation’s policies and regulatory standards
To update the organisation on its financial position and performance on regular basis.
Responsible for the coordination and development of the Organization’s external and internal budget, preparation of monthly financial reports and annual financial statements.
Actively coordinate the preparation of the Organization’s budget
Ensure full responsibility for the corporate accounting function
Preparation and presentation of the monthly board report.
Ensure all departments and groups are provided with relevant and adequate information to guide management of their product, budget, profitability and costs
Carry out payment instructions for capital expenditure
Ensure accurate entries for all financial accounting operations
Ensure effective management, maintenance and upgrade of the general ledger
Ensure accurate generation of the trial balance on a regular basis
Oversee the production of periodic profit reports
Participate in the organisation’s corporate planning activities
Continually monitor the Organization’s performance {i.e. productivity / profit vis-a-vis business goals and objectives)
Prepare regular reports / updates for management attention
Ensure accurate processing of all transactions and maintain an accurate record of all activities and transactions
Ensure prompt remittance of all regulatory payments
Maintain cordial relationship with relevant regulatory agencies (FIRS, SEC, CBN, ITF etc)
Provide regular reports / updates as required for management attention
File documents and correspondence, and maintain security and confidentiality within the group
Perform other duties as assigned by the CFO
