Job Title: Point of Sales Support Technician
Location: Lagos Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time
Role Summary
- We seek to employ a passion driven and detail-oriented POS IT support technician
- You will be required to assist any venue having trouble resolving technical issues with the POS software as well as helping with any IT related needs for the organisation
- Successful Candidate will also assist when necessary with any POS software setups for new venue installations and any other IT job as may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the POS support liaison between Corporate, POS Vendor and venue locations
- Provide onsite and remote support for POS including training of customers, configuration, monitoring and customization
- Assist in both Root cause and Trend analysis, all while providing venue systems POS support.
- Troubleshooting and resolving POS Hardware and software issues onsite and offsite
- Provide assistance in installation, relocation and re-installation of equipment for the office when required.
- Develop and improve documentation to support problem analysis and resolution.
- Increase POS transaction count and volume by constantly engaging RMs on active/inactive terminals and visiting low performing merchants
- Ensure timely deployment of POS terminals across assigned region and training of relationship managers on POS 1st line support issues
- Increase POS transaction count and volume by constantly engaging RMs on active/inactive terminals and visiting low performing merchants encouraging them to effectively utilize POS terminals in their possession
Qualifications
- OND qualification
- Minimum of 2 years working experience in a help desk or POS role
- Experience maintaining POS systems
- Must be willing and able to ride a bike.
- A valid riding license and excellent knowledge of highway code is a MUST
- Experience troubleshooting hardware/software products
- Experience with networking concepts
- Excellent communication skill and desire to grow is required
- Must be customer friendly as candidate will be a point of contact for customers
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and great team player.
- Must be able to work independently with a high degree of self-initiative.
- Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule.
