Job Description

The primary role of the Business Development Officer is to prospect for new clients by networking, digital marketing, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients. He/she must then plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the company.
He/she must be able to prepare social media calendar, make use of Corel draw and other editor apps, ability to create attractive contents, must have contacts in media field – digital & tradomedia, highly organised, able to create and drive campaigns, tech savvy.
Strategic planning is a key part of this job description, since it is the business Officer’s responsibility to develop the pipeline of new business coming in to the company.
This requires a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions/services the company can provide.

Responsibilities

Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
Preparation and Monitoring of Social Media Calendar.
Content creation to meet with the requirements of the Business
Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
Research and build relationships with new clients.
Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders/Principals.
Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives

Skills / Education / Experience

Minimum 3- 4 years Proven work experience in similar role, experience in a similar environment is an added advantage.
Ability to make use of Corel draw and other editing apps.
Ability to create attractive contents for our digital space
Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently.
Bachelor’s Degree qualification.
