FOX Sports Southeast’s first-half coverage of Memphis Grizzlies basketball slated to begin Dec. 23
MEMPHIS – FOX Sports Southeast, exclusive regional broadcaster of the Memphis Grizzlies, will televise 35 of 36 Grizzlies games for the First Half of the 2020-21 NBA season. The telecasts, presented by FanDuel Sportsbook, will be anchored by the network’s flagship pre- and postgame show, Grizzlies LIVE presented by Ford and your Mid-South Ford Dealers, delivering expert analysis before and after each game.
Regular season coverage will tip-off with the Grizzlies’ season opener on Wednesday, Dec. 23, versus the San Antonio Spurs, with a bonus one-hour edition of Grizzlies LIVE at 6 p.m. CT.
FOX Sports Southeast’s veteran game broadcast team — each with over a decade of experience covering Grizzlies basketball — will continue to deliver in-depth coverage for their 11th season together in the broadcast booth, featuring Pete Pranica returning for his 17th season. He will be joined by analyst and former Grizzles guard Brevin Knight, who will return for his 11th season, and Rob Fischer, in his 14th season as sideline reporter.
Grizzlies LIVE will be hosted by Fischer, with analysis from Knight as well as Grind City Media’s Chris Vernon and Michael Wallace (@MyMikeCheck), returning for their eight and fifth seasons respectively.
Prior to the season opener, FOX Sports Southeast will also televise four preseason games, giving fans a “First Look” at the Grizzlies on the court:
- Memphis Grizzlies vs Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday, December 12 at 7 p.m. CT
- Memphis Grizzlies vs Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday, December 14 at 7 p.m. CT
- Atlanta Hawks vs Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday, December 17 at 7 p.m. CT

Telecasts for the 2020-21 season will exist in an environment like none other in NBA history with little-to-no fans in the stands. In addition, there will be broad changes to production elements and protocols due to the global pandemic. Each production will be a multi-network effort to deliver quality games with FOX Sports Southeast shooting all Grizzlies home games on the network and taking the home team’s network feed for road games. Our broadcasts for both home and road games will emanate from our broadcast areas at FedExForum.
The NBA regular season will feature a 72-game regular season schedule and a Play-In Tournament to determine the teams that will fill the seventh and eighth playoff seeds in each conference.
The network’s schedule can be found here and local channel listings can be found here; The network’s Second Half schedule will be released at a later date. Grizzlies content is also availableon @GrizzliesOnFSSE.
