Oladipo to sit out second game of back-to-back as Pacers face Celtics
Indiana Pacers guard Victor Oladipo will miss the team’s Sunday night matchup with the Boston Celtics out of an abundance of caution as he continues to work his way back from the right knee operation he underwent in Jan. 2019.
The Pacers have avoided playing Oladipo in back-to-back games since he returned from the knee injury on Jan. 29 of this year. With the team playing the back end of a back-to-back on Sunday night after defeating the Bulls on Saturday, the two-time All-Star will again sit out as he looks to avoid reaggravating the injury.
Oladipo is averaging 26.5 minutes, 22.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists over the Pacers’ first two regular-season games.
Center Goga Bitadze (right ankle) and guards Edmond Sumner (illness), Jeremy Lamb (left knee) and Brian Bowen II (left groin) will also miss the Pacers’ matchup with the Celtics on Sunday night.
