Legacy of Packers’ LaFleur could be sealed by FG decision
Matt LaFleur, Packers head coach (⬇️ DOWN)
Who knows what the future portends for LaFleur, but his coaching legacy might have been sealed in Sunday’s NFC championship, specifically with his late fourth-quarter decision to opt for a field goal and give the ball back to Tom Brady hoping Green Bay’s defense could stop him and give Aaron Rodgers one last shot to win it. Spoiler: It didn’t work out that way.
Hot takes on Aaron Rodgers’ decision to pass and not run (⬆️ UP)
Three days later and it’s still a scorching hot topic. We really enjoyed these two counterpoints from a pair of former NFL offensive lineman (opinions on this play are not hard to find, especially from people who did not play in the NFL).
Anyone who thinks Suh is catching 12 here is out of their mind and obviously didn’t watched 12 run this year. JPP maybe but that doesn’t happen until maybe the 2 yard line. I think 12 scores. pic.twitter.com/R8kG4Qlq5N

Buddy … do you know how fast defenders are? There’s a guy 2 yards behind him, JPP is running full speed at him and there’s a linebacker staring directly at him on the GL. Rodgers is not Lamar Jackson https://t.co/8ITi2v3Vqe

Donte DiVincenzo, Bucks guard (⬆️ UP)
Quietly, the third-year guard is making an impact. In Milwaukee’s two games last week he averaged a modest 24.5 minutes per game, but produced 9.5 points on 50% shooting, 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists. He also had a box score plus/minus of +7.5, the second highest on the team last week behind just Pat Connaughton (+10).
Torrey Craig, Bucks forward (⬆️ UP)
Craig returned to action for the first time since having his nose broken Dec. 27. In Sunday’s game against Atlanta he made 2 of 3 shots, grabbed two rebounds, dished out a pair of assists and had a steal in nearly 13 1/2 minutes. A strong defender, Craig should fit into Milwaukee’s rotation on a situational basis.
Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bucks forward (⬇️ DOWN)
This might be the first time we’ve ever labeled Giannis with a down and admittedly it’s a bit strange to do for a guy who averaged 26.0 points and 13.0 rebounds while shooting 66.7% from the field in Milwaukee’s two games last week. But there were issues. Free throws remain a problem (57.9%) and he averaged 7.0 turnovers and 5.0 fouls in the two games. The former percentage is too low and the latter two way too high.
