Avalanche out, Coyotes in: COVID forces Blues to change weekend opponent
COVID-19 again is affecting the St. Louis Blues‘ schedule — and again, it’s because of issues on the other team.
The Blues were scheduled to host Colorado on Saturday and Sunday, but COVID issues among the Avalanche forced the postponement of both games. Instead, the Blues will continue to host the Arizona Coyotes — who played here Tuesday and Thursday night — at 2 p.m. Saturday and 7 p.m. Monday.
The Coyotes had been scheduled to play Minnesota this weekend, but those games were postponed because of the Wild‘s COVID issues. The Blues-Wild game scheduled for next Tuesday in Minnesota also was postponed.
The Blues previously had a postponement in Las Vegas while the Golden Knights dealt with COVID concerns.
The Blues carried a four-game winning streak into Thursday night’s game against Arizona.
