Arizona reacts to passing of Pedro Gomez
The sudden passing of Valley resident and ESPN reporter on Sunday created an outpouring of emotion from the Arizona sports community:

A story that sums up Pedro Gomez. Introduced my then 10 yr old son to him at a game / Pedro asked him about his baseball. My son later said “it was fun to meet a star like Pedro Gomez.”
I relayed that to Pedro and he replied “you need to explain to your son what a star is.”

I went through Pedro’s tweets/replies tonight looking for one he had tweeted after one of my fun and loved-filled softball tweets I do for my daughters. I found myself scrolling through all his uplifting replies to everyone. Wonderful life we can all learn from.
