No. 5 Badgers race past Michigan State 4-0

The No. 5-ranked Wisconsin Badgers rolled the Michigan State Spartans 4-0 on Friday to improve to 18-8-1.

Wisconsin got on the board early with a goal from Tarek Baker with 1:49 into the game.

Jack Gorniak followed that up by scoring with 11:48 left in the first period to put the Badgers up 2-0.

Wisconsin doubled its lead in the second period with power-play goals from Cole Caufield and Ty Pelton-Byce.

The Badgers are back in action on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. for the final game of their road series against the Spartans. That game is Wisconsin’s regular-season finale.
