Brewers’ bats quiet in 3-1 loss to Cubs

The Milwaukee Brewers struggled to get anything going offensively in a 3-1 loss to the Chicago Cubs in a seven inning game. Milwaukee’s final 10 outs were strikeouts and they recorded just three hits in the game.

Milwaukee’s lone run came in the bottom of the second inning when Orlando Arcia’s single knocked home Avisail Garcia.

The Brewers limited the Cubs to seven hits, but one of them was a two-run homer by Joc Pederson, given up by Milwaukee RHP Josh Lindblom in the third.

Brett Anderson made his spring training debut on the mound, tossing one inning and recording a pair of strikeouts for Milwaukee.
