Hader struggles in spring debut, Brewers lose 9-1 to Oakland

Travis Shaw’s first-inning home run accounted for Milwaukee’s lone run as the Brewers fell to Oakland 9-1 at Hohokam Stadium in Mesa, Ariz.

The Brewers managed just three hits the rest of the game – doubles by Mario Feliciano, Billy McKinney and Pablo Reyes.

Josh Hader made his spring debut and allowed two home runs in 2/3 of an inning. He also walked a batter, accounting for a third run, and recorded a pair strikeouts.

Brett Anderson started for Milwaukee and pitched two innings, allowing one unearned run on two hits with one punchout.
