Caufield, Badgers advance to Big Ten championship after OT win over Penn State

Wisconsin sophomore forward Cole Caufield scored the game-tying goal in the third period and the game-winner in overtime, as the Badgers men’s hockey team advanced to the Big Ten championship after a 4-3 victory over Penn State on Monday.
The Nittany Lions took a 3-2 lead at the 11:50 mark of the third period. But then, Caufield took over.
He knotted the game at 3 with a power-play goal — his 10th PPG of the season — and crushed Penn State’s postseason dreams by lighting the lamp on a breakaway in overtime.
