Cometstar Manufacturing Company Limited is a member of Cometstar Group. It was incorporated in Nigeria on the 25th day of February, 2005 under Company & Allied Matters Act, 1990 of Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Our company is wholly owned by Nigerians. We started production in April 2006 in our ultra-modern cable manufacturing factory located at Agbara Industrial Estate – about two kilometers from Badagry Expressway, Agbara, Ogun State, Nigeria.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: HOD, Internal Audit
Location: Agbara, Ogun
Responsibilities
- Perform and control full audit cycle over departmental operations, effectiveness and financial reliability.
- Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans
- Obtain, analyze and evaluate accounting documentation and previous reports
- Act as an objective source of independent advice to Management and ensure validity, legality and goal achievement
- Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
- Maintain open communication with management and audit staff
- Conduct follow up audits to monitor management’s intervention
- Ensure that the organization is complying with relevant laws and statues
- Evaluate internal control and make recommendations for improvement
- Identifying shortfalls or gaps in processes
- Promote ethics and help identify improper conduct
- Prepare and present reports that reflect audit’s results and document process.
Educational Qualifications
- Candidates should possess a minimum of B.Sc / HND qualification in Accounting
- Must be Computer Literate
- A minimum of 7 years experience in Auditing.
