Brewers’ bats boom against Indians

Two-run shots in not one or two, but three consecutive innings powered Milwaukee to its 6-3 win over Cleveland on Monday.
More Brewers coverage
Brewers outfielder Tyrone Taylor initiated the rain with a long ball sent over the left field fence in the top-half of the third inning. Daniel Vogelbach followed with a crushing blow of his own in the fourth. Avisaíl García capitalized the three-inning scoring onslaught with an opposite field dagger that scored the Brewers last two runs.

Milwaukee didn’t need much else. But there were plenty of other positive notes.
Billy McKinney continued his strong showing in the Cactus League this spring with a pair of hits in two late-inning at-bats. On the mound, Milwaukee fared similarly.
Opening Day starter Brandon Woodruff struck out four, allowing five hits and two runs in six innings pitched. Brent Suter and Josh Hader each collected two Ks in one inning apiece.
