Yelich launches grand slam, Brewers lose 9-8 to Rockies
Christian Yelich hit a grand slam in the Milwaukee Brewers 9-8 loss to the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday.
After Colorado scored two runs in the first inning, Kolten Wong put the Brewers on the board in the bottom half of the frame with a solo shot. The Rockies added a run in the second.

Yelich made his impact with a grand slam in the third, followed by a two-run home run from Travis Shaw.

Colorado then had a five-run fourth inning and scored another run in the sixth. Brice Turang added an RBI single for Milwaukee in the ninth inning.
Milwaukee starting pitcher Adrian Houser recorded seven earned runs, nine hits, and three strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings of work.
The Brewers are back in action on Thursday at 9:05 p.m. for a road game against the San Francisco Giants.
