Hiura goes yard in Brewers’ 7-5 loss to White Sox
Despite a ninth inning rally, the Milwaukee Brewers fell short of the Chicago White Sox in Cactus League action, 7-5.
After it was announced that he had earned a spot in the Brewers starting rotation, Freddy Peralta got the start on the mound for Milwaukee, striking out eight batters while giving up five runs, including a home run, in 5.1 innings.
Keston Hiura gave the Brewers an early lead with a solo homer in the second inning.
Trailing 2-1 in the fifth, Milwaukee tied the game when the White Sox pitcher balked with Manny Pina at the plate and Freddy Peralta on third base.

Chicago put up a four-spot in the sixth to take a 6-2 lead, highlighted by Yoan Moncada’s 2-run home run off Eric Yardley.
Down 7-2 in the bottom of the ninth, the Brewers plated three runs to make things interesting. Garrett Mitchell tripled to score Zach Green and Peyton Henry. Mitchell also scored on a double by Jace Peterson.
Milwaukee is back in action on Saturday at 3:05 p.m. CT for a matchup against the Kansas City Royals on FOX Sports Wisconsin.
