Fun facts about players on the 2021 Milwaukee Brewers

Are you ready for baseball? A full 162-game scheduled season? Well, the 2021 season is almost upon us and with that will come the inundation of statistics — batting average, home runs, ERA, etc.

Since you’ll be getting enough baseball stats about the Milwaukee Brewers to fill any void you might have, we thought we’d take a look at the lighter side of things.

We scoured through the Brewers media guide and came up with some different and interesting facts about a number of players (note: we have no repeat facts from our three previous editions of fun facts: 2020 | 2019 | 2018 | 2017). Josh Lindblom: Is currently working on his master of divinity degree from Grace School of Theology.

Luke Maile: His father, Rich, played football at the University of Dayton and University of Kentucky, while his grandfather, Dick Maile, was an All-American in basketball at LSU.

Mark Mathias: Favorite player growing up was Derek Jeter.

Omar Narvaez: Graduated from Instituto Escuela in Maracay, Venezuela, where he also played soccer.

Freddy Peralta: Enjoys video games, movies and going to the zoo.

Manny Pina: Entertains teammates by singing “Hotel California” in the clubhouse.

Drew Rasmussen: Threw the first perfect game in Oregon State history (March 21, 2015 vs. Washington State).

Daniel Robertson: Grew up an Angels fan in Upland, Calif., attending games in Anaheim with his late father, Don.

Brent Suter: Has a mini golden doodle named Wally.

Justin Topa: Played hockey and golf in high school in addition to baseball.

Luis Urias: Favorite baseball player of all time is Dustin Pedroia.

Daniel Vogelbach: His older brother, Josh, was a professional quarterback in Italy and was briefly with the Bloomington Extreme of the Indoor Football League.

Devin Williams: This past offseason visited Jamaica. Has traveled to London, Paris, Zurich and Munich in previous offseasons.

Kolten Wong: Is a distant cousin of former NBA player Jason Kapono.
