Job Title: General Manager – Fertilizer & Chemical (GM-FAC)

Qualifications & Other Requirements

First Degree in Business Administration or related field
Any other academic or professional qualification in agriculture or chemical engineering field will be an added advantage
Minimum of 8 years of plant management experience in fertilizer blending or chemical production
Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
Strong management skills, with ability to take charge
Must be a hands-on plant manager
Analytical knowledge, structured problem-solving skills and expertise in management systems
Proven leadership, communication and teamwork skills with demonstrated abilities to both work collaboratively
Strategically contribute to the system development to minimize product failure or reprocess to reduce cost of poor quality and improve customer satisfaction
Adaptable to changing priorities and capable of working efficiently under pressure
