Location: Lagos Island, Lagos

Job Description

Our client is looking to hire waiters and waitresses who have the endurance to wait on tables for an extended period of time and have the patience to deal with difficult customers.
The ideal fit is one who is customer-centric, able to anticipate the needs of customers, and provides all services in a friendly manner.

Responsibilities

Greet and escort customers to their tables
Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions,
ingredients or potential food allergies)
Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
Providing excellent wait service to ensure satisfaction
Take customer orders and deliver food and beverages
Make menu recommendations, answer questions and share additional information with restaurant patrons
Up-sell additional products when appropriate
Take and serve accurate food and drink orders
Communicate order details to the kitchen Staff
Deliver checks and collect bill payments
Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning
Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties)
Follow all relevant health department regulations
Provide excellent customer service to guests.

Requirements

Interested candidates should possess relevant qualifications with at least 1 year relevant work experience.
Must live within Ikoyi environs
Endurance to walk and stand for long hours
Flexible work hours
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills.
