Job Title: Executive Assistance

Job Responsibilities

• Executive Assistants have more than administrative duties. They also filter and prioritize client visits or phone calls, and communicate on behalf of the executive they support.

Other responsibilities include:

• Providing administrative assistance, such as writing and editing e-mails, drafting memos, and preparing communications on the executive’s behalf
• Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records
• Performing minor accounting duties
• Organizing meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, and organizing catering when necessary
• Answering phone calls in a polite and professional manner
• Welcoming visitors and identifying the purpose of their visit before directing them to the appropriate department
• Managing the executive’s calendar, including making appointments and prioritizing the most sensitive matters.

Requirements

• Since Executive Assistants learn most of their role on the job, previous experience is preferred. Whether it is in an administrative support role, secretarial job or personal assistant, the experience is valuable. Experience with the Microsoft Office suite is also very beneficial.
• Must have 0-2 years work experience.
• Executive Assistants usually hold a High School Degree or GED and are mostly trained on the job. There is no particular degree leading to this position, but an associate degree in administrative assisting can provide education on office matters. Some employers prefer candidates with a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
• Certifications or completed coursework on administrative software are recommended.

Salary
N100,000 – N150,000 / Month
