Job Title: Business Development Officer
Location: Surulere, Lagos

Job Description
- To build business position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating and closing business opportunities within assigned territory for a Medical Diagnostics Company located in Surulere.
Responsibilities
- Source and convert corporate institutions (HMOs, Hospitals etc) to clients.
- Conduct market research and identify opportunities / potential clients.
- Identify and define market opportunities aimed at positioning the Company to gain competitive advantage.
- Monitor developments and trends in the business environment, especially target sectors, analyzing impact on Company activities and develop appropriate response strategies.
- Screen and close potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, coordinating deal requirements, potential, and financials, evaluating options; resolving internal priorities.
- Establish regular liaison with clients and core business operations teams in driving improvements and opportunities for increasing revenue.
- Develop superior relationships with key stakeholders in the identified organizations and ensure that any concerns are highlighted in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement innovative strategies for client retention.
- Establish a knowledge storehouse of clients, referrals, REPs, presentations, and prospects.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of a First Degree in Marketing, Economics or any related discipline.
- 2 – 3 years relevant experience in a related role. Experience in the Healthcare industry is an advantage.
- Experience with business to business and business to consumer sales techniques.
- Ability to initiate and generate new leads.
- Strong communication skills.
- Quick decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding negotiating skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- Ability to work in a high-intensity, fast-paced environment.
- Weekend work is required.
