Job Summary
- The Project Manager ensures that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently.
- Responsibilities of the job include: planning and organizing production schedules, estimating and agreeing budgets and timescales with clients and managers. Responsible for the technical management, supervision and control of automobile production processes.
- He ensure that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently.
- He monitors production processes and provides administrative support to production staff with impute of the Production Manager.
Job Description
- Planning and organising project of automobile with deep technical knowledge
- Manages the efforts of production staff on the production floor.
- Work out and implement standard operating procedures for production operations.
- Manage human and material resources to meet production targets.
- Suggests reduction strategies to the GM Production.
- Checks manufacturing equipment and control points to ensure efficient workflow is maintained.
- Oversee the production process, drawing up a production schedule
- Ensure that the production is cost effective
- Decide what resources are required
- Draft a timescale for the job
- Estimate costs and set the quality standards
- Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed
- Be responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment
- Monitor product standards and implement quality-control programmes
- Determining quality control standards
- Establish workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or integrity.
- Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including procurement, distribution and Management.
- Organising the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
- Liaising with clients, marketing and sales staff to meet demand on production.
- Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements
- Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement
- Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.)
- Ensure output meets quality standards
- Enforce health and safety precautions
- Additional duties as directed by the GM Production and/or COO.
Qualifications
- B.Eng or HND in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering.
- Possession of an MBA or equivalent will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 8 years hands on experience in Manufacturing, Automobile or Armoring plant
- Professional qualifications in Engineering/Production/Project Management etc.
Technical:
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of automobile production processes
- Be familiar with ERP and Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
- Proven success with efficient production line organization and output improvement
- Strong in planning, negotiation, management skills & execution so that the operations targets are achieved.
- Strategic thinking and strong execution skills

Salary
N300,000 – N350,000 monthly.
