Description
- As a Strategy Analyst within the Operations & Portfolio Management team within the Technology and Innovation (T&I) organisation you will work directly with the Portfolio Strategy Lead on delivering & implementing the key strategic initiatives as well as the R&D portfolio review process.

- The strategy analyst performs various functions, which primarily involves utilizing data to provide support for strategy formulation, business development, and forecasting.
- The specific tasks they handle will vary depending on the industry they work in.
- Provide, communicate, and implement strategy to address competition, changes in customer preference, and improvements in technology and marketing tools
- Formulate new pricing, product, and E-commerce initiatives
- Utilize customer information from CRM data and customer research to understand trends and opportunities
- Leverage on market / customer research, trends, and competitor analysis to drive revenue, increase yield, improve market share, and enhance customer loyalty
- Organize, negotiate, and implement sales and marketing programs
- Structure, negotiate, and implement vendor agreements, distribution relationships and partner agreements
- Undertake market analysis/modeling, portfolio metric reporting, and operational support related to the firm/team’s strategy
- Provide analytical support to all aspects of the deal negotiation process
- Perform financial analysis and modeling
- Responsible for conducting financial planning and analysis of large datasets to assess the clinical, operational, and financial performance of existing fee-for-service and integrated care programs
- Provide further insight into the firms overall strategy by identifying critical questions performing ad-hoc analyses
- Provide operational insights to achieve key performance indicators
- Summarize insights from analysis and clearly communicate analytical findings in a cohesive story; and articulate an argument to be presented to executives
- Responsible for building appropriate external and internal client-facing materials
- Identify, communicate, and execute on new opportunities related to the firm’s businesses functions
- Provide leadership to teams and cross-functional teams on the execution of an implementation, work plan, or other strategic initiative.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Portfolio Strategy Lead & VP of T&I Operations & Portfolio Management within the T&I organization, and key stakeholders across the wider business, assist on data analysis, consolidation, and aggregation to develop key insights & materials for various initiatives including strategic portfolio reviews, resource management, strategic planning, and new product development
- Support on developing & keeping key dashboards, databases & systems live & up to date
- Support on the prioritization & execution of key activities & projects within the organisation
- Ensure key actions from the Portfolio reviews & strategic plan are captured and completed in a timely manner
- Support in monitoring the overall portfolio performance between review sessions, and make recommendations and improvements to support execution
- As required, support other strategic activities within the T&I organization including external innovation, licensing, M&A, Financial Planning, etc.
- Build and maintain a strong viewpoint on external market dynamics supporting in updating the LT on key trends, announcements & general market intelligence
Qualification and Requirement
We are looking for the following:
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree; minimum of a 2:1
- Driven & motivated to work hard in an environment where you will both be supported & recognized for your contribution to the team
- Experience of working in a project and/ or program delivery environment
- Work experience through placements or internships will be considered
- Financial literacy is desirable with familiarity in dealing with each of the 3 financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet & Cash Flow)
- Highly computer literate with advanced use of Microsoft Office
- Attention to detail
- Ability to deliver tasks working under strict deadlines and pressure
- Ability to proactively suggest system and process enhancements
- Open to learning new tasks and processes whilst supporting other teams and team members
- Ability to take initiative & responsibility for proactive resolution of operational & strategic problems

- Education: Applicants for the strategy analyst position are required to have a degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management, Economics, or Statistics, or in a related field. Employers sometimes prefer to hire people with a Master’s degree in Business Administration
- Knowledge: Employers majorly seek for people with at least two years hands-on experience in analytics or management consulting. They must possess advanced knowledge of data management and SQL for data manipulation.
- They also require a proven history of implementing and executing business ideas, as well as programming experience (applicants should be able to use Python, R, etc).
