AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) — Facts and figures for the Masters:

Tournament: The 83rd Masters.

Dates: April 11-14.

Site: Augusta National Golf Club.

Length: 7,475 yards.

Par: 36-36_72.

Purse: To be determined ($11 million in 2018).

Field: 86 players (80 professionals, 6 amateurs).

Cut: Top 50 and ties, and anyone within 10 shots of the lead.

The course: The par-4 fifth hole has a new tee that lengthens the hole by 30 yards to 495 yards.

Defending champion: Patrick Reed.

Last year: Patrick Reed won his first major by closing with a 1-under 71 to hold off Jordan Spieth’s furious charge. Reed had a three-shot lead over Rory McIlroy and never trailed at any point in the final round. Spieth, starting nine shots behind, briefly tied for the lead until hitting a tree off the 18th tee and making bogey for a 64. Reed had a two-shot lead playing the final hole, where Rickie Fowler made birdie to finish one shot behind.

Grand Slam: Rory McIlroy tries for the fifth time to complete the career Grand Slam. He lacks only the Masters and would become the sixth player to win all four majors.

Tiger Tales: Tiger Woods has played the Masters 10 times since winning his fourth green jacket in 2005.

The odds: Westgate Superbook in Las Vegas has McIlroy as an 8-1 favorite, followed by Dustin Johnson at 10-1. Tiger Woods is 12-1.

Key statistic: The last seven Masters champions were among the top 25 in the world ranking when they won.

Noteworthy: Eight of the top 10 players in the world already have won on the PGA Tour this season.
