We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Assistant Manager – Auto Maintenance, Repairs & Overhaul

Location: Ode Remo, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • Runs an efficient and profitable service department through productive staffing, customer retention, cost controls, achievement of objectives, and maintenance of all service records.
  • Ensures that the daily inventory of technicians’ time is consistently sold to service customers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist MRO Managerin planning, managing and executing operations of the department
  • Coordinate and plan maintenance, repair and overhaulprioritizingworkflow and schedule
  • Identify and report operational and maintenance problems to prevent delays
  • Ensure that all equipment, materials and supplies are continuously available to carry out maintenance and repairs.
  • Optimize servicesto meet quality and performance standards
  • Ensure safety measures and procedures are followed to reduce unexpected incidents and hazards
  • Address employees complaints and concerns professionally.
  • Assist in managingperformance reviews , appraisals, amd promotions for subordinates
  • Schedule routine inspection and maintenance ofequipment to prevent equipment breakdowns and malfunctioning, etc.,
  • Directs and schedules the activities of all department employees.
  • Facilitates and/or conducts technical training and sends employees to appropriate training schools as needed.
  • Monitors technicians’ daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll records.
  • Monitors and follows up on parts orders with the parts manager to ensure availability.
  • Prepares pricing guides and maintenance menus for frequent labor operations.
  • Handles customer complaints immediately and according to dealership’s guidelines.
  • Establishes and maintains 24-hour follow-up with all customers to confirm satisfaction with the service experience.
  • Maintains safe work environment.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in automobile Manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years of experience leading employees.
  • Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul automobile experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem-solving resolution skills and a team focus.
  • Ability to effectively and persuasively present information to management, customers, and employees
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
  • Experience in implementing Project management process, tools and techniques
  • Ability to travel extensively.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • LEAN/Six Sigma experience valued
  • Must be able to establish influential partnerships at all levels
  • Experience with business development and client development
  • Recognized internally and externally for expertise in functional area.
