Nigeria LNG Limited was incorporated as a limited liability company on May 17, 1989 to harness Nigeria’s vast natural gas resources and produce Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs) for export. The company is owned by four shareholders, namely, the Federal Government of Nigeria, represented by Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (49%); Shell (25.6%); Total LNG Nigeria Ltd (15%) and Eni (10.4%).

Financial Accountant

The Job

  • To develop and maintain adequate financial and accounting systems and procedures for NSML with in-built controls, in order to provide accurate financial information, analysis and statutory reports.
  • To maintain the integrity of financial transactions in NSML’s General Ledger and ensure full compliance with relevant international accounting standards, concepts and principles.

Duties / Responsibilities
The Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain the financial database and ensure the integrity of the ledger. Ensure the completeness and accuracy of all financial transactions in the General Ledger and ensure that all reconciliations are done in a timely manner.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual Financial Statements and reports in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards and relevant accounting concepts and principles.
  • Maintain Finance Lease schedule and ensure compliance with all relevant covenants, administrative requirements and obligations. Ensure timely and accurate booking of the related transactions.
  • Develop, implement and update detailed procedures and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) covering job function. Develop Finance Control Framework (FCF) and RACI matrix.
  • Produce all audit schedules as may be required by auditors and investigate and promptly respond to all audit queries to ensure smooth internal and external audit processes. Follow up to resolve all internal and/or external audit issues and other enquiries (pre and post audit). This includes financial audits from government, tax and other regulatory agencies. Implement recommendations on the operation of the control systems and any other agreed recommendations by the auditors.
  • Provide an independent check and monitor expenses and revenues arising from existing and future contracts to verify occurrence, accuracy, completeness and proper classification of transactions.
  • Liaise with Tax Department to ensure correct computation of tax obligations including tax analysis on existing and future tax laws and tax implications on proposed Company initiatives.
  • Carry out monthly and quarterly finance closure activities:
    • Ensure accurate and timely recording of monthly financial transactions.
    • Ensure that services received but unpaid for in any month are accrued for in accordance with relevant accounting concepts and conventions.
    • Carry out periodic inter-company accounts reconciliation with stakeholders.
    • Ensure the monthly clearing and reconciliation of all assigned balance sheet GL accounts including monthly proof of accounts submitted for review and approval.
  • Ensure proper and orderly filing, storage and retrieval of accounting records. Act as record focal point for finance and accounting records.

Qualifications
The right candidate should:

  • Possess a University First Degree in Accounting or a Finance related Discipline with a minimum of Second Class Upper (2.1) Division.
  • Possess a professional accounting qualification: ICAN, ACCA, CIMA or CFA.
  • Have a minimum of 4 years post-graduation experience in a Finance related role.
  • Cognate experience in the Maritime or Logistics industry will be an added advantage.
  • Be skilled in accounts operations and financial reporting
  • Possess good communication, negotiating and interpersonal skills.
  • Be a Self-starter
  • Be fluent in English Language

 

Charge Nurse Ward

The Job

  • To ensure supervision of all nursing activities in the hospital to maintain efficient, safe and sound nursing care.

The Person

  • To be eligible to apply for the Charge Nurse Ward position, the right candidate should be a: Registered Midwife (RM) and Registered Nurse (RN) OR Registered Nurse (RN) and possess a post-basic nursing qualification.
  • Registered member of the Nigerian Nursing and Midwifery Council (NNMC).

Consultant Physician

The Job

  • To diagnose, treat and help prevent diseases and injuries that commonly occur in the general population and provide advice to Company staff and other eligible customers in the area of General/Family medicine in order to ensure the health of staff and other stakeholders.

Requirements
Education:

  • Possess a postgraduate fellowship in Family Medicine / General Medical Practice (FWACP, FNCP, or equivalent).
  • Be registered with Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  • In addition, candidate should have a minimum of 10 years post-MBBS experience with at least 5 years in the field of Family Medicine or Specialist General practice.
  • The candidate should also be able to demonstrate proficiency in Information Technology.

The Job

  • To conduct health prevention and screening activities of patients in the Residential Area Clinic to ensure proper monitoring of health conditions and maintain maximum hospital hygiene.

Head, Intelligence, Investigation and Strategy

The Job

  • To manage all security investigations and the cycle of intelligence activities and operations, including analysis and production of early warning reports on specific security threats that may impact on NLNG assets and operations company-wide.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, lead and drive the development of best-practice procedures for the intelligence and investigation function that will deliver early warning and reduce threat impact on business corporate-wide.
  • Manage, lead and drive the production of monthly and annual threat/risk assessments and forecast, security surveys for NLNG operations as the basis for security risk mitigation strategies for the security department and company corporate wide.
  • Manage the liaison and interface with the State & Local government security agencies (SSS, NPF, DIA, NA, NN, NSCDC, NDLEA, Customs, etc.) as well as security departments of sister companies to ensure constructive collaboration, exchange of information and support in delivering overall security objectives company-wide.
  • Manage, lead and supervise investigation of security incidents or near misses in all company operational areas and share learnings to ensure a proactive approach to security incident management in line with the security management system.
  • Manage and lead the review of all aspects of NLNG security operations and propose improvements in procedures, facilities and equipment to secure  Company’s assets in line with global and industry best practice.
  • Manage and maintain CSS department threat/risk register and detailed database of all security incidents around NLNG operations and maintain an in-depth current knowledge of the socio-political and security operating environment in the Niger Delta region in particular, nationally and internationally as well.
  • Manage and lead the production of daily and weekly threat updates and intelligence summary for NLNG management and stakeholders- inclusive of general summary, key events, threat trends, and changing crime patterns.

Requirements
To be eligible to apply for this position, the right candidate should:

  • Have obtained a university degree in any of the Social Sciences or the Arts, with 10 – 12 years post-graduation experience with a minimum of 5 years experience in the intelligence department of any of the Government Security Agencies.
  • In addition, a minimum of 3 years experience in the required function in a reputable organisation, especially an Oil & Gas company, would be an added advantage.
