Account Manager – Collections at Nomba (Formerly Kudi)

Nomba – Launched in 2017 as “Kudi.ai”, a chatbot that responds to financial requests on social apps, Nomba spent its first five years  empowering independent businesses to act as neighborhood banks offering basic financial services such as cash withdrawal, transfer and bill payments to all Nigerians, especially those in underserved communities. We currently process more than $500m in payments monthly.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Account Manager – Collections

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Position

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all assigned client account management matters.
  • Develop and expand sales locations/opportunities on assigned clients that grow managed accounts. transactions and revenue monthly. Identify areas of improvement to meet account quotas.
  • Work with the sales team to acquire mobile cashier agents for collections for each managed  merchants
  • Acquire new accounts for the business (pre-sales).
  • Gather new requirements on business products used by clients, work with the business manager and product/service manager on product scale for clients, ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives that suit business timelines.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to validate that the collection opportunities are serviced for sales growth.
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
  • Close contracts and manage contract renewal processes that increase sales and extend business cycles.
  • Create weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on accounts managed

About You

  • A BA / B.Sc Degree from a leading academic institution – other advanced degrees is a plus.
  • 4- 6 years Proven work experience as a commercial buyer in retail business, Account Manager, Key Account Manager or Sales Account Manager.
  • Proven work experience as a commercial buyer in retail business, Account Manager, Key Account Manager or Sales Account Manager.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
