Job Description
- Our Client is looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM), Investmentwho will be responsible for building and managing rapport with corporate clients to ensure optimum client acquisition, retention, and income generation from sales of all appropriate investment products of the company.
- The role will require building ‘Best in class’s relationship management while strengthening the company’s brand in the corporate space, ensuring delivery of industry-leading client experience, and advisory service to new and existing corporate clients.
- In this role, the Business Development Manager will report directly to the Head of Investments and will be responsible for managing Business development analysts within the team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Expand and retain corporate client relationships to grow Assets Under Management (AUM)
- Develop leads and referrals from current clients and other networks.
- Identify and aggressively grow the target pipeline within the identified sectors.
- Manage key client relationships through regular contacts and visits by ensuring the effective call program is maintained on all assigned and prospect clients.
- Cultivate good rapport with corporate clients and ensure Sankore becomes the choice of investment.
- Coordinate with Fund Managers on investment policy statement (IPS) with each client based on their goals, objectives, and risk tolerance.
- Ensure compliance to Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti Money laundering (AML) requirements in all dealings with existing and potential clients.
- Continuously identify and exploit cross selling opportunities that embed the company and its products with clients’ needs.
- Attend periodic meetings with corporate and personal clients, to discuss financial requirements and provide appropriate financial advice
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a similar course of study from a reputable university.
- 10 – 12 years of work experience in Corporate or Investment Banking.
- A Masters’ degree, MBA, CFA, or other relevant post graduate qualifications is an added advantage.
- Strong experience managing the needs of Corporate Companies.

- Experience or demonstrated understanding of investments, wealth planning, credit and banking concepts.
- Experience with and in-depth knowledge of the equity and fixed income markets and alternative investments, including Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Real Estate.
