Job Title: Key Account Sales Representative

Job Summary
- The Key Account Sales Representative is responsible for defining the relationship between the business and the customers.
- The KASR is tasked with defining the individual approach of the sales personnel to specific customers in order to create strong and lasting relationships.
- Your primary responsibility is to manage a group of Key Customers in order to achieve designated sales targets through the implementation of appropriate and unique strategies for these key accounts.
Responsibilities
Account Management & Maintenance:
- Maintain knowledge and awareness of competing products, discounts, promotions and pricing structures, and overall strengths and weaknesses in order to determine how best to service and motivate key customers to enure long lating relationship
- Maintain an updated sales funnel and participates in regular sales reviews in conjunction with the Sales Manager.
- Maintain data and information relevant to key accounts for the purpose of conducting analyses that influence account-specific decision making.
- Ensuring that profitable sales volume and strategic objective targets are met for the assigned key accounts.
- Assessing, clarifying, and validating the consumers’ needs on an ongoing basis, maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings that are up to the business’s standards.
- Follow up with the customers regarding orders and timely delivery of products in order to obtain feedback on their level of satisfaction and note areas of sales performance improvement.
- Lead solution development for the identified improvement areas, coordinating involvement of any relevant department
Opportunity Identification:
- Responsible for the generation of new business/opportunities in the assigned accounts as well as the attainment of new accounts for the business.
- Identifying and evaluating of business opportunities by keeping an eye out for business best practices, trends, and principals that will ensure customers are kept satisfied and loyal to the business.
Sales Strategy:
- Implement sales strategies that lead to high consumer satisfaction, therefore, building awareness and credibility with the key clients as well as sales team.
- In conjunction with the Sales Manager, take part in the strategic account planning process in which departmental financial targets, performance objectives, account management standards, and critical milestones over specific periods of time are decided upon.
- Contributes information to market strategy by monitoring competitive products and reactions from customers.
Reports & Analytics:
- Prepare detailed proposals/quotes depending on each customer’s requirements.
- Review target achievement and create reports for Sales Manager, which facilitate the creation of informed account management decision-making and strategy formulation.
- Prepare pricing documentation for the business’s products and secures appropriate approval from Sales Manager prior to sending commercial proposals to key accounts.
- Compiling reports on account progress, goals, and forecasts for account teams and stakeholders.
Market Knowledge:
- Maintain knowledge within the sales department. This is knowledge on the best practices, market trends, consumer trends, and the competitive environment.
- Regularly attending training sessions on new trends, promotions, pricing, demand etc.
- Stay in tune with the business’s CRM tool and techniques that come in handy when managing consumers and more so the challenging ones.
- Identifying marketing potential, opportunities and risk.
Collaboration:
- Work with the customer support and resource management departments in an effort to meet account performance objectives as well as the key accounts’ expectations through complimentary cross-functional efforts.
- Liaise with Sales Manager in the creation and determination of departmental strategies, financial requirements, and account management standards.
- Provide feedback to relevant departments on products, pricing, package, delivery etc. which would help provide better service to the customers, and in turn achieve high customer satisfaction level.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree / HND qualification with 4 – 7 years work experience.
