Job Title: Theatre Nurse

Duties and Responsibilities
- Sterilization of all surgical equipment before and after the surgery.
- Maintenance of good hygiene standards.
- Conduction of instrument check before and after the surgery
- Quick hand over of equipment to the surgeon during the surgery
- Must possess the ability to stand on one’s feet for long hours as some surgeries can carry on for many hours.
- Preparation of patients before surgery and wheel them into the operation theatre
- Communication of surgical procedures to patient families to help them understand the procedure
- Observation of patients after surgery and ensuring that they wake up from the anesthesia.
Requirements
- Applicants must have completed the required professional training and qualifications for their disciplines from recognized institutions.
- Applicants must be a registered Nurses/Midwives with Perioperative Nursing & Theatre Management qualification.
- They must have full registration and affiliation with relevant professional bodies.
- Applicants should have at least 3 years post qualification experience.
