NFL Week 12: Top viral moments from Packers-Eagles, Bears-Jets, more
Week 12 of the NFL is here, and after six teams took the field in a great Thanksgiving slate, 24 more play Sunday. The early slate was highlighted by a Browns overtime victory over the Buccaneers in Cleveland, more Russell Wilson drama in the Broncos‘ loss to the Panthers and Mike White’s explosive return as the Jets starting quarterback in a win against the Bears.
The afternoon window features battles between the Rams and Chiefs, Chargers and Cardinals, Saints and 49ers, and Raiders and Seahawks.
Here are some of the top viral moments from an action-packed football slate!
Los Angeles Rams at Kansas City Chiefs
Patrick Mahomes is HYPED
The Rams are dealing with a down year, but Mahomes is still firing the Chiefs up as the defending Super Bowl champions come to town.
McVay gets knocked
Sean McVay is still a little shaken up after accidentally running into Roger Carter Jr. — and more particularly, Carter’s helmet.
McVay’s speed appears to be fine…
…but the Rams may still need to work on some personal space awareness.
Isiah Pacheco scores and dances!
It’s all Chiefs is the second half as a Pacheco touchdown run put Kansas City up 20-3. Pacheco celebrated by busting a move in the end zone.
New Orleans Saints at San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco gets the fumble!
49ers linebacker Talanoa Hufanga pried the ball loose from Alvin Kamara for a crucial turnover, and San Francisco’s defense had plenty of fun celebrating afterwards.
49ers defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans has been hyped all game as well as San Francisco’s defense closed out a shutout victory to highlight an impressive run
Ted Lasso sighting!
Noted Chiefs fan Jason Sudekis was waiting to great the team in the tunnel after Kansas City’s 26-10 victory.
Las Vegas Raiders at Seattle Seahawks
Seahawks tease throwbacks return
Seattle’s blue 1990s jerseys will make a return in 2023, the Seahawks announced in an in-stadium interview during Sunday’s game against the Raiders.
Raiders with the pick and pose!
Las Vegas responded with an interception of their own from Denzel Perryman, and the Raiders’ defense posed for its closeup afterwards.
Diggs spreads his wings!
Quandre Diggs had two interceptions in the first quarter, and made it clear after the second one how much he enjoys being a Seahawk (maybe even a literal one?)
Los Angeles Chargers at Arizona Cardinals
Chargers clap back at Acho
FOX Sports analyst Emmanuel Acho made waves recently for calling Justin Herbert a “social media quarterback” and the Chargers’ Twitter account took a swipe at that phrase Sunday afternoon.
Keenan Allen is officially back!
Allen is in his second game after returning from a hamstring injury last week, and his first-half touchdown catch helped the Chargers keep pace with the Cardinals. Needless to say, he’s glad to be back.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Cleveland Browns
Browns dealing with tire marks?
Cleveland is hoping to turn its season around with a home win over Tampa Bay, but first the Browns have to manage some home-field issues of their own.
Football guy
Bucs cornerback Carlton Davis III looked like he lost a tooth mid-game, but will continue playing.
Brady paving the way to Canton — literally
Tom Brady is currently playing 57 miles away from the Pro Football Hall of Fame. 57 miles is also the distance of his total career passing yards.
Chicago Bears at New York Jets
Mike White with a touchdown drive… and a wink!
Mike White marched the Jets into the end zone in his first drive of his first start of the season, and looked as calm and cool as ever on the sideline afterwards.
Garrett Wilson throws up the deuces!
The Jets rookie wide receiver is having himself a day with new starter Mike White, and had some fun celebrating after his second touchdown of the day.
Is Zach Wilson getting the short end of the stick?
White is getting all the love after a stellar start vs. the Bears, but Jets fan and FOX Sports analyst Jason McIntyre is cautioning everyone against piling on Wilson without additional context.
People forget about Mike White…
From Revis Island to Jets ring of honor
Star rookie Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner has struggled a bit matched up against the Bears’ Chase Claypool, but he only has to look to the sideline at MetLife Stadium for some inspiration. Darrelle Revis is in the house for his halftime induction into the Jets’ ring of honor.
Yikes, Zach Wilson
The former No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft does not look too happy on the sidelines.
Elijah Moore joins the party!
The Mike White breakout continues as Elijah Moore — who had requested a trade just weeks ago — caught his first touchdown of the season on a pass from White and looked elated to do so.
The Mike White hype will not be dying down any time soon.
Jets win, coin flip guy loses
White’s Jets teammates showed him plenty of love after their 31-10 win.
But it was a bittersweet day for one Jets fan, whose incredible run of correctly predicting games based on a coin flip ended with New York’s win.
Denver Broncos at Carolina Panthers
Boncos’ frustrations with Russ grow
Russell Wilson has been outplayed by the Panthers’ Sam Darnold — in his first start of the season — and it appears his Broncos teammates are starting to reach their limit as defensive tackle Mike Purcell had a message for Wilson.
Wilson did eventually throw his 300th career passing touchdown, but there does not appear to be much celebration in Denver.
Houston Texans at Miami Dolphins
Waddle honors Metchie
Jaylen Waddle is having a breakout second season in Miami, but his thoughts are with one Texans player in particular — his former Alabama teammate John Metchie III, who is missing his own rookie season after a leukemia diagnosis.
Once the game started, however, Waddle let his play on the field do the talking.
Atlanta Falcons at Washington Commanders
Arthur Smith is HEATED
The Falcons were down early to the Commanders and Atlanta’s head coach was not happy about it.
Commanders win, no (regular) cap
The Commanders pulled out a last-second victory thanks in large part to a late interception and Brian Robinson’s big day (18 carries for 105 rushing yards and a receiving touchdown). Afterwards, Robinson repped what he said was his “friend’s brick hat company.”
Baltimore Ravens at Jacksonville Jaguars
Jaguars mascot in an American Flag speedo?
Jackson De Ville is getting spicy for the Jaguars’ game against the Ravens, just in time for the big USMNT World Cup game Tuesday against Iran on FOX!
CRAZY finish!
With the Jaguars down by seven, Trevor Lawrence led Jacksonville’s offense down the field for a score and two-point conversion to take the lead.
Ravens kicker Justin Tucker missed a 67-yard field goal attempt to win it as time expired.
