Blues fortify playoff roster with seven players from San Antonio

ST. LOUIS — The Blues can’t activate any more players for a game than they have all season, but they’ll have a lot more to choose from in the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The Blues have recalled seven players from their AHL affiliate in San Antonio, whose season is over. The Blues will play either Nashville or Dallas next after knocking off Winnipeg in the first round.

The additions to the St. Louis roster are forwards Klim Kostin, Jordan Nolan and Austin Poganski and defensemen Chris Butler, Niko Mikkola, Mitch Reinke and Jake Walman.

Kostin scored 24 points (10 goals, 14 assists) in 66 games with the Rampage this season. The 19-year-old was a Blues first-round draft pick in 2017.
