Job Title: Accounting Officer
Location: Lagos
Job Duties
- To prepare and examine financial records.
- Also make sure that records are accurate and that taxes are paid properly and on time.
- Perform overviews of the financial operations of a business in order to help it run efficiently
Job Responsibilities
- Audit financial transactions and document accounting control procedures
- Keep information confidential and secure them with random database backups
- Keep up with financial policies, regulation and legislation
- Managing all accounting operations based on accounting principles
- Preparing budget and financial forecasts
- Computing taxes and prepare tax returns, balance sheet, profit/loss statement
- Manage all accounting operations based on accounting principles
- Publish financial statements in time
- Conduct month-end and year-end close process
- Collect, analyze and summarize account information
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns, balance sheet, profit/loss statement etc
- Develop periodic reports for management
Job Requirements
- Proven working experience as a cost accountant or in a relevant field
- Advanced degree in Accounting
- Excellent accounting software user
- Thorough knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
- Candidates must be based in lagos
