Chief Security Officer
Job description:
- Manage the Development and Implementation of Physical Security Policy, Standards, Guidelines and Procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of Security. Physical Protection Responsibilities Will Include Asset Protection, Workplace Violence Prevention, Access Control Systems (Security System Design and Protocol), Video Surveillance, Overseeing Executive Protection, Employee Education and Awareness in Collaboration with Information Security.
- Ensure That the Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, Risk Management and Access Controls Needs of The Facility Are Addressed.
- Ensure That All Security Staff Provide Services That Are Above and Beyond for Customer Satisfaction and Retention.
- Serve as Information Security Consultant to All Departments for All Data Security Related Issues. Work with Outside Consultants as Appropriate.
- Ensure the Safety and Security of Guest, Staff, Visitors and Contractors at All Times.
- Maintain Liaison with Nigeria Police Force, Security Agencies, and Nigeria Railway Compound Authorities Regarding – Law and Order Problems and Investigation of Criminal Cases Affecting the Company.
- Attend to Security Incidents and Other Calamities and Incidents on The Company Grounds.
- Ensure That All Company Properties Are Adequately Secured at All Times.
- Partner with Human Resources Department to Ensure Consistent Sanctions for Security Violations.
- Prepare Daily Incident Reports, Requisitions and Other Inter Office Memos and Ensure That All Allegations of The Crime and Other Incidents Are Investigated and Recorded.
- Perform All Tasks Consistently in Line with The Company Standards and Adhere to All Legal and Statutory Requirements.
- Initiate Safety Measures to Protect the Lives and Properties of The Company.
- Oversee, Develop and/or Deliver Initial and Ongoing Security Training to The Workforce.
- Be Available 24 Hours A Day for Genuine Emergencies Within the Property.
- Control Traffic by Directing Drivers.
Job requirement:
- B.Sc./BA First-Class, Second-Class Upper Degree or Master’s Degree from An Accredited College or University in Information Systems or A Related Security Field
- 8+ Years of Experience in Security or Law Enforcement or Military. Experience with Business Continuity Planning, Auditing, And Risk Management, As Well As Contract and Vendor Negotiation.
- Proficiency in Computers, CCTV, Fire and Safety Systems.
- Come from Law Enforcement Backgrounds Have Computer Training
- Proven Track Record and Experience in Developing Information Security Policies and Procedures
- Minimum 7+ Years of Supervisory Experience
- Experience of Managing A Large InHouse or Contracted Security Workforce First Aid Level Certification Mandatory. Minimum 7+ Years of Supervisory Experience.
- Ability to Work Under Tight Schedule. Ability to Display Initiative. Ability to Display Flexibility. Honesty and Integrity.
- Discretion in Handling Confidential Matters. Ability to Handle Stress. Ability to Work Independently and In A Team Setting.
